24 Nov 2010 : Christmas Curry with Miersy - Wednesday 22nd December at Forthill from 5.30pm

Cameron Miers makes a return to Forthill on Wednesday 22nd December and everyone’s invited (members, partners, kids etc) to Forthill from 5.30pm onwards. A curry from the Gulistan will be served at a small charge. Please let Ryan Watson know if you intend to come along so that catering can be finalised.

Forfarshire have published a 2010/2011 calendar to raise funds for the new Artificial Net Practice facility. It is hoped that around £5000 can be raised through calendar sales, so please order your copies using the order form below.

The club would appreciate all members supporting this venture by purchasing calendars for themselves as well as family members.

11 Oct 2010 : Junior Prizegiving - Sunday 24th October at Forthill - 5pm to 7pm (approx)

The 2010 Junior Prizegiving will take place at Forthill on Sunday 24th October starting at 5pm.
All junior members and parents are invited to attend.
 

11 Oct 2010 : Bagpack Raises £503

The latest bag-pack organised by the junior section raised £503.
Alan reports on how the day went.... 
The second Junior Bag Pack of the year was at Morrisons in Dundee.  After a mixed day of quiet and busy spells, the sum of £503 was raised.  I would like to sincerely thank all the juniors and parents who attended and helped make this an enjoyable and worthwhile event.  Thanks also to Diane who helped in organising and looking after the juniors on the day. In total, the sum of £1,103 has been raised over the two bag packs this year.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all juniors and parents over the past few years who have given up their time to help raise much needed funds for the club.  The juniors are the future of Forfarshire Cricket Club, and it is vital they continue to be given access to first class facilities, coaching, and equipment for their continued improvement in a friendly and safe environment.  Events such as bag packs go a long way to allow this, so please continue to show your support.
Having been Junior Fundraiser for some time now, I have decided to stand down from this position. I wish my successor the very best for the future.

19 Sep 2010 : Bag Pack at Morrisons - Saturday 25th September
 
The junior section are holding a bag pack at Morrisons on Saturday.
All juniors are asked to support the event and come along to help sometime between 10am and 4pm.
 

30 Aug 2010 : Forthill XI Night Out - Friday 3rd September
 
The Forthill XI end of season night out takes place at the Megabowl, Stack Leisure Park, Lochee at 6.45pm on Friday 3rd September.
The evening starts with a one hour session in the Zapp Zone. At 8pm we will move to the bowling lanes for two games of bowling to compete for the annual Forthill XI ten pin bowling championship.
After that we move on to the Gulistan Indian Restaurant in Queen Street, Broughty Ferry at 10pm for a curry and presentation of both ten pin and cricket prizes for the year.
The cost of the evening is £8 plus whatever you eat and drink at the Gulistan - or cheaper if you only take part in the bowling.
Please let David or Steven Sim know as soon as possible if you intend to join the evening, and what events you will be participating in (Zapp Zone, bowling, curry).

17 Aug 2010 : First Century for Craig...
 
Congratulations are due to Craig M (Forfarshire u15s) who scored his maiden century whilst playing for Dundee u15 against Angus u15s at Arbroath on Monday.
Well batted Craig!

10 Aug 2010 : u12/u13 Training Cancelled on Thursday 11th August
 
Training for the u12 and u13 squads has been cancelled on Thursday 11th August due to holidays and involvement in other fixtures.

30 Jul 2010 : World Cup Fantasy League Results

Andy Wallace topped the World Cup fantasy league and wins £85.
