Forfarshire mini-hardballers produced an excellent result by beaten a young Arbroath side by 2 runs. Arbroath won the toss and elected to bat and justified that decision by scoring a big total of 285 for the loss of only 4 wickets.

Forfarshire got off to a great start scoring over 40 for the first pair with Jack C hitting 2 excellent 6's. With one over to go Forfarshire managed to get passed the score and it was down to Ross B to block the last over which he duly obliged to give the Forfs a famous victory. Forfarshire finished on 287 for the loss of 8 wickets
