Match report Just a short trip up the road to Rossie this week, so no time for the Wacky Races although with the team including both Rusty and Winker there would be plenty of time for wackiness throughout the course of the day.

Hoping to put things right after last weeks disappointment at Huntly, thing started poorly as we lost the toss and were put in on another green wicket which looked made for the bowlers. However, Cameron and Neil continued their good run, taking us up to 80 before the first wicket fell, Neil caught for 30, and Cammy going on to score another 50, finally falling for 58. By this stage Sir Ranjinald had got his eye in and was beginning to crash the Rossie change bowlers to all parts, giving a couple of chances in the deep but finishing with an explosive 44. Asif continued where Ranj had left off, smoking his way to 23 including one huge straight 6, while Craig Wallace kept things ticking over at the other end finishing on 11.

Having set Rossie 191 on a tough wicket we were pretty confident going into the field with a side full of bowling. Tight bowling from the opening pair, Winker and Daddy, left Rossie with only 49 runs after the first 15 overs and both openers, including the prize wicket of the pro, back in the hut.

The tight bowling continued from both ends, Asif in particular troubling the batsmen with some late movement and he ended with well deserved figures of 4-15 after 9 overs, effectively ending the game as a contest. Rusty came on and polished off the tail with a bizarre 6 over spell which yielded 3 wickets and left Rossie 118 all out.
