Match report Forthill travelled to Forfar looking for their third win in a row and a perfect start to the season. Forthill lost the toss and were asked to bat first on a wicket which looked good for the bowlers.

Gavin and Craig opened the batting but after a couple of good shots from Craig he was bowled for 10. Dennis and Neil joined Craig in the pavilion after both receiving good deliveries. With the scoreboard at 20-3 Dalts and Gavin needed to put a partnership together. They put together a scrappy half century partnership but then both lost their wickets cheaply. Bryce and Barry also had a useful 70 run partnership which allowed the lower order to hit out towards the end of the innings - the final total finishing at 176.

Dennis and Dean were given the new ball. Both took early wickets to dismiss the openers. Dean would have had another one had it not been for the complaints of the Strathmore Batsman – Ted had appeared to take a low catch but the Strathie batsman complained it had hit the ground. After a quick flick through the record books it was discovered that Ted had not taken a catch at Gully during his 63 year long career. The umpires then came to a decision of Not Out. Blacky bowled a tight spell and picked up a couple of wickets in the process. Ted and Elliot were the other wicket takers in a 24 run win for Forthill.
