Forfarshire's Alec Steele has been appointed an Honorary Life Member of The Forty Club and joins a list of cricketing greats such as Sir Garfield Sobers and Sir Richard Hadlee in holding the honour.
Alec's Scotland caps included memorable matches at Forthill against New Zealand, including Hadlee, and the West Indies.
14 club centuries, 1101 dismissals and 18000 runs are a mark of his playing contribution to Forfarshire CC but his infectious enthusiasm for the game and its values along with a willingness to share knowledge and advice are a contribution that Alec gives season after season.
