Forfarshire CC Junior Section

Forfarshire CC is one of the premier cricket clubs in Scotland, and the development of youth cricket for all ages and abilities is regarded as a key factor in maintaining the club’s status.

Summer Coaching:
The club runs coaching sessions and teams for under 18s, under 15s, under 13s along with kwik-cricket and mini-hardball games for the under 11 and under 12 age-groups. Coaching sessions are run by ECB qualified coaches at the following times during the summer:

For season 2010, Forfarshire are delighted to welcome Kelby Pickering back for a second year as the club's junior coach. As with last year, Kelby will be running junior coaching sessions at Forthill and visiting our local schools to run coaching sessions.  

As a result of our focus on Youth Development, started by Peter Drinnen in 1994 (currently the National Coach for the Netherlands, and previously Head Coach of Cricket Scotland) many of our young players have represented the area in district competitions, and some have gone on to represent Scotland.

If you are interested in attending coaching sessions and playing for the clubs junior teams, then come along on a Monday or Thursday night and speak to one of our coaches, or contact Forfarshire's Junior Convenor Dick Auchinleck for more information.
