31 Jan 2012 : Bagpack at Sainsburys - Sat 10th March
A fundraising bag-pack is taking place at Sainsburys on Saturday 10th March. All junior and senior players are requested to make themselves available to help, and should advise their team captains or coaches of when they can help. A good turnout will reduce the session time everyone has to do. One senior and one junior will be working per till.

Please contact your team captains or coaches with your availability as soon as possible.


31 Jan 2012 : Junior Team Re-Naming

The club intends to rename its Junior teams to names beginning with either "Broughty" or "Ferry" to help increase local awareness of cricket at Forthill and to make the profile of the junior section more attractive to sponsors.

Players of the five junior age-goups (kwik-cricket, mini-hardball, u13, u15 and u18s) are invited to submit their ideas for team names, with examples being the Ferry Foxes, Ferry Flyers, Ferry Phantoms, Broughty Bears, Broughty Bothams, etc.

16 Jan 2012 : Craig Appointed Club Captain for 2012
Craig Wallace will captain Forfarshire in 2012 with assistance from Scott Galloway who is appointed vice-captaincy.

Graeme Garden takes over the captaincy of Forthill from Dennis Petrie who will be vice-captain.

Forthill XI will once again be captained by David Sim with Stephen Sim continuing as vice-captain.


14 Jan 2012 : Introduction to Umpiring Course - Tuesday 31st January
An "Introduction to Umpiring" course is being held in Perth on Tuesday 31st January. The course is suitable for anyone interested in umpiring at any level and would benefit players, coaches, parents or anyone in interested in learning more about umpiring.

The course is delivered by Sandy Scotland and will highlight the fundamentals of umpiring and laws that need to be adhered to.

Venue: North Inch Community Campus, Gowan’s Terrace, Perth, PH1 5BF
Date: Tuesday 31st January 2012
Time: 6.30pm – 8.45pm
Cost: Free

Forfarshire wicket-keeping 'legend' Alex Steele is making a good recovery after a recent back operation and early reports suggest he's already looking forward to the 2012 season.


13 Dec 2011 : Hogmany Party at Forthill
All members are invited to the Forthill Sports Club Hogmany Party to see in the New Year at Forthill. The evening kicks off at 8pm, and guarantees a great night of music, food and company.
