Forfarshire under 13s - Season 2005
League: Played 7 Won 7 Lost 0 Cup: Played 5 Won 4 Lost 1
Forfarshire under 13’s have had an excellent season, winning all their league games to finish top of the table. The Club can also be proud of the team in reaching the Scottish Cup final, where they lost narrowly to a strong Watsonians team.
Throughout the season, opportunities were given to players of all abilities to play in matches, with all responding and performing well. At national level, Aman and David represented Scotland in the European Championships in Dublin, and Kevin played for Scotland under 12s in the Ampleforth Festival.
What I particularly liked was the team spirit shown, and their willingness to learn and improve. Although a number of the players are moving on to the under 15s next season, there is a solid crop of youngsters coming through, and I’m confident that the tradition of Forfarshire producing promising juniors will continue into next season.
