Match report Arbroath U13 vs. Ferry Forfs U13 (Wednesday 23rd May, Arbroath)

FF batted first on a wonderfully warm and sunny evening at Lochlands, both Rory and Callum retired after chanceless innings of 30 runs in good time. Fraser (26) and Michael (16 no) helped guide the score to a very respectable 128.

The FF bowling was much tighter than in the previous encounter at Lochlands and the constant pressure meant that Arbroath were restricted to a run rate of just under four in the first 13 overs. Fraser bowled a good line and length, two of his three wickets knocking back the batters middle stump. All the boys contributed well in the field, turning a number of 'certain' boundaries into singles. However, the real highlights of the innings were the three catches taken by Rory at short extra cover; two full length dives to complete brilliant one handed takes and the third that would have removed his head had he not pouched the chance to end the Arbroath innings.
