What a day for Forfarshire CC!
Saturday’s three league victories were capped by a incredible performance from the 2nd XI, who smashed their way into the record books with a total of 516 for 5 from 45 overs – a new Forfarshire club record and the highest ever team total in the Strathmore & Perthshire Cricket Union.
A stunning 159 from just 66 balls by Dean Stonebridge started the marathon innings, while James Sim blasted 89 from 60, Craig McConnachie made 65, Matthew Sinclair added 57, Jonathan Main 41 not out, and Graeme Garden hit 51 from only 37 deliveries at the start of the innings.
The runs didn't stop there across the club, with Ryan Watson and Craig Wallace also registering superb centuries as the club celebrated three league wins.
With the ball, the 2nd XI completed the job in style, dismissing Dundee High School FPs for just 86, with James Girolami claiming 5-27, sealing an incredible 430-run victory.
