All Winning Weekend!

All four of the club’s teams recorded wins in their weekend outings, with some memorable personal performances along the way.

At Forthill, Callum Garden hit 94 from 86 balls and along with Will Perchard (41 from 68 balls) shared an 82-run fifth wicket partnership after Arbroath had picked up early wickets to leave Forfarshire’s innings in the balance at 76 for 4. Late order runs from Keegan Crawford (26no) so the Forfs up to 245 for 8 from 46 overs in the rain affected match. Four wickets each for Keegan Crawford (4 for 39) and Jack Hogarth (4 for 49) saw Arbroath all out for 190, Keyan Gace top scoring with 101.

 In Bannockburn, Clark McConnachie’s 64 not out was the backbone of the 2nd XI’s first innings score of 218 for 9 in 45 overs. Glenn Carnegie then stepped up to take a career best of 6 wickets for 16 runs and secure a 58-run win - the 2nd XI’s seventh straight league win.

 The 3rd XI travelled to Doune and racked up 379 for 6 in 40 overs, Abdullah Ammar hitting 119 that included ten 4s and nine 6s in a 67 ball innings. Ryan Watson (79), Lewis Clark (66) and Matthew Sinclair (55) all recorded half centuries. Two wickets each for Joshua Sassoon, Shahzaib Iqbal, Liam Latto and Arun Gangadharan saw the Forfs through to a comfortable win.

The bowling performance of the week was undoubtedly at Meigle on Sunday when Jack McLelland took 6 wickets for no runs with every dismissal bowled while Lewis Adams and James Gardiner shared the remaining wickets. Nathan Giannico rounded off the match with a solid 40 not out and took the senior teams to 4 wins from 4 over the weekend.
