Award for Ted’s Shed

22 Aug 2016

The success of Ted’s Shed and the benefit it has brought the club was recognised yesterday when Ted collected the “Most Innovative and Effective Income Generation” award on behalf of the club at a ceremony held at West of Scotland CC during the Scottish Cup final. Joining Ted in collecting the award were Alan and Lindsay who have spent many hours on the project over the summer.

The conversion of the old turnstile building at Forthill’s main gates has transformed match days at Forthill with players and spectators alike having a new focal point to gather during and after games with the Shed generating income through the refreshments on sale including the neighbouring BBQ area. The addition of a marquee has brought added income and rejuvenated match day hospitality throughout the season with events ranging from high tea's to football club BBQs all being catered for.

If you’ve yet to visit Ted’s Shed, then this Saturday (27th August) is the time to put that right. Forfarshire host Grange in the last CSL game of the season and a large crowd is expected at the end of season family BBQ - come along and sample the wide range of refreshments on offer including craft ales from Keith Brewery and the BBQ will be fired up from 2pm.
