Recent visitors to Mackays Forthill will have noticed the ground is a hive of activity - the new nets are progressing and will make a huge difference to the facilities available, the new roof to Ted’s Shed looks fantastic and the spruced-up scorebox is looking very crisp in it’s sharp black and white. The ground will now be able to host some prestigious games but the goal of again hosting an international will be aided with the installation of an electronic scoreboard - quite an expensive undertaking at around £3500.
So, Tom - the 1st team scorer and an u15 player - has decided that it’s time for a fundraising effort. He’s volunteered to have a 'Tech Free Sunday' and for anyone familiar with teenage boys, that’ll hurt!!!
We’d all like to support him in his efforts. It’s easy to donate - just go to: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/electronic-scoreboard-forfs.
All donations will be very gratefully received towards the new scoreboard (and possibly therapy sessions for Tom…!)
This is not the first time that Tom has raised funds for the club, a small improvement that may have gone unnoticed to many are the replacement windows in the scorebox that were part funded by Tom through a sponsored silence!
Let’s all get behind Tom and his latest fundraising effort!
