We are delighted to welcome Steve Knox to ion8 Forfarshire CC as our Head Coach for 2021. A former Scotland internationalist, Steve brings a wealth of coaching experience and will be known to many through his time as Head Coach of Scotland Women and as a player with Heriots CC.
Steve will be running our Monday night junior coaching, academy sessions on Wednesdays, and senior training on Thursday evenings.
Steve brings extensive coaching experience at all levels from Scotland and overseas, and will combine his duties at Forthill with that of head coach of the Germany men’s national team.
Commenting on his appointment, Steve said “I’m delighted and excited to be appointed as Head Coach of ion8 Forfarshire CC for the 2021 summer. It’s a club whom I always enjoyed competing against as a player and one that has a proud tradition of producing homegrown players who have gone on to represent their club, region and country with distinction. If I can play a small part in continuing this production line then I’ll be more than happy.
The club have been very flexible in allowing me to combine this role with my head coach role with the Germany Men’s team and this arrangement will hopefully benefit all parties.”
