European Cricket League - Squad Announcement
The excitement is building as we prepare for our second European adventure - and we are delighted to announce our travelling squad.
Leading the side will be Jack Hogarth who takes over the 1st XI captaincy from Scott Cameron. Jack has made several appearances at the Cartama Oval for both Forfarshire and Scotland A, so will be aiming to build on last years strong performances.
We welcome Jamie King to Forfarshire, no stranger to the club having featured regularly for Stoneywood-Dyce and the Caledonian Highlanders in recent years, we look forward to seeing Jamie make a unique debut for the Forfs, on European soil at the Cartama Oval.
Thomas Knight comes into the squad as a Wicket-Keeper / Batsman following impressive performances throughout the 2023 season including captaining Scotland at Forthill in the u17 Celtic Cup.
Lewis Robinson makes his European debut after becoming a 1st XI regular last year and making a big contribution to the Forfarshire bowling attack.
Lennard Bester comes into the squad having joined Forfarshire last season, and subject to obtaining a Visa will be on the plane when the squad fly out to Malaga in early March.
Lyle Robertson makes his first appearance in the European Cricket League but is no stranger to the T10 format having represented Scotland A in last year’s European Cricket Series.
Off the pitch, our large travelling support are finalising their travel plans and will be making their way to Spain in greater numbers than last year - we didn’t think it was possible!
Congratulations to everyone selected for the squad!
