Forfarshire have reached the Championship Week of the European Cricket League after a dramatic final day in Group E at the Cartama Oval.
Forfarshire found themselves in 4th place after the group matches, meaning their only chance of securing a spot in Championship Week was three consecutive sudden death wins.
A confidence boosting win over Gozo Zami from Malta in the first match of the day was followed by another dramatic win, this time over German side RSC Rehberge set up a
group final under lights with VOC Rotterdam.
Drama in the last over saw it take until the 5th delivery for the 2 runs required to be scored, sparking huge celebrations among the boisterous travelling support!
Forfarshire will be back in Spain from 18th-23rd March when Europe’s top 7 sides compete for the grand prize that is the European Cricket League trophy.
