SCOTTISH CUP RESULT - Sunday 1st June
Forfarshire have reached the Quarter-Finals of the Scottish Cup in a nail biting 5 run win over Huntly.
Batting first, 70 from Callum Garden helped the Forfs recover from two early wickets (9 for 2) to post 151, Calum Howard and Jack Mitchell each taking 3 wickets for the home side.
At 78 for 2, Huntly looked to be in command of the run chase but the Forfs bowlers gradually turned the game. Jack Hogarth first removed Devon Du Plessis, LBW for 30 before home skipper Jack Mitchell fell in the same way for 36.
Imran Saim (4 for 26) gave the Forfs a huge boost with two wickets in the 30th over and along with Lewis Robinson whose last 3 overs were maidens, saw Forfs fighting hard for the win.
Rain forced a break in play with Huntly requiring 12 runs from the remaining 16 overs, but with just 2 wickets in hand.
Harjeet Brar sparked celebrations for the Forfs when he took a wicket with his second ball while Huntly edged closer to their target, and then secured the win with the first ball of his next over to see Forfarshire victorious by just 5 runs.

Forfarshire will play Clydesdale at Forthill on Sunday 22nd June in the Quarter-Final.
