Forthill hosted an MCC game for the first time in recent years, when the MCC took on a Cricket Scotland Regional Academy Select on Monday.

The MCC chose to bat first, and reached 253 for 7 in 50 overs, J.Kennedy of Ballymena CC top-scoring with 122. In reply, the Academy Select were 195 for 9 at the end of 50 overs, T.Barrett hitting 63 and C.Howard 46. Behind the stumps for the MCC was “Steely” who finished the day with two stumpings and a catch - and having completed an ambition to play at least once for the MCC at Forthill.
