Fantasy League Update - after week 9
11 Jul 2013
As we pass the half way point in this years season we take a closer look at the happenings of an eventful debut season in the FORFS FANTASY LEAGUE!
Firstly a grand total of 50 players registered with many interesting team names, however the bed and breakfast theme seemed to dominate! Strangely enough, the early season pace was set by fantasy league chairman, Dale Sweeney with his Broughty Ferry B & B Neighbourhood Watch outfit leading in the main due to Howies runs, slip catches and badgering of lower order opposition!
Moving through the season a chasing pack of Tony's Tigers, Buttsys Bhoys, Andy G's 273's and Finbars select eventually caught up with the chairman and now occupy the top four slots with Finbar top of the tree! However all four are separated by less than a 100 points, so all to play for!
On a slightly funnier note an incredible 1224 points separates top from bottom, but we will not disclose who occupies the lowly bottom spot!
PS hope the hammy gets better soon DCT
A look through each team shows the top point scorers:
First team - Craig Wallace 340 points
Seconds - Howie Garden 486 points
Thirds - Glenn 'carnage' Carnegie 121 points
Colts - Fraser 'midge' Ross 178 points
A look at John Findlays outfit shows where his points have come from:
Wally, Scott Galloway, Tony Weed, Howie, Sammy T, Teddy, Simmy jnr, Rojo, Ross Lloyd, Deano Garden and Cammy Walker.
It would be rude of me not to mention last weeks top manager......... myself, Liam Sweeney, with 185 points an incredible 155 more than Mr Umair Mohammed who was bottom of the pile!
Thanks for everyone's participation and to the various captains who return scorecards promptly. Keep up the good work and good luck!
