Thanks Drummy!

07 Jun 2014

A long overdue presentation to former Forfarshire captain Peter Drummond was made today after the early conclusion of the Strathmore & Perthshire Union league match between Forthill and Meigle.

Peter joined Forfarshire in 2002 from Meigle as an accomplished wicket-keeper batsman and quickly made his mark at the club, winning the first team batting trophy in 2003, and going on to score over 3400 runs and take 137 catches with 33 stumpings in a seven year Forfs career. Peter’s 95 not out against a star-studded Dunnington team in the sixth round of the 2003 National Club Championship was one of the most memorable innings during his time at Forfarshire, and for the club as a whole in recent history. A three year spell as captain saw Peter work tirelessly on and off the field before returning to his roots at Meigle. Today’s presentation of an engraved quaich was made with sincere thanks from all his friends at Forfarshire CC for all his efforts towards the club.
