Match report Perth Doo'cot U13 vs. FF U13 - Monday 6th May (Doo'cot Park)

The Forfs won the toss and elected to bat on a cold, overcast Monday evening. After losing James G Jnr early on, Callum G powered his way to an impressive 30 before his enforced retirement. Some tight bowling from Doo'cot restricted the Forfs run rate; Dylan A (22n.o.) and Chris H (10 n.o.) eventually managing to get the score to 91.

After a couple of tight overs, the Doo'cot batters started to hit the Forfs bowling to all corners; Tom (33 Ret.), Ben (33 Ret.) and Oliver (14) all scoring quickly. The Forfs fielders made great attempts to pouch some half-chances and, had any of these stuck, the result might have been a lot closer. Even so, Chris and Lucas took late wickets which seemed to send jitters through the Doo'cot camp resulting in two run-outs. Unfortunately this middle order collapse didn't result in a highly improbable win for the Forfs and Doo'cot somewhat limped over the finishing line.
